More celebrities are wearing rubies, sapphires, emeralds and other gems in addition to or instead of white diamonds, according to People.com.

Here are a few examples of what some stars wore during the Academy Awards, according to People:

Actress Amy Adams wore a necklace with 630 carats of emeralds, rubies and sapphires and 39 carats of diamonds.

Alicia Keys wore a amethyst and diamond ring.

Marisa Tomei wore a bracelet with more than 50 carats of sapphires (pictured).

Beyonce wore a yellow and gold diamond leaf ring.
